I Survived a Japanese Game Show - Let's Ride!

The game this week is for two team members to ride bicycles that control the speed of a treadmill upon which another team member will be riding a tricycle. Not an adult tricycle but one built for a child. Which ever tricycle rider lasts the longest in the "red zone" wins, fail and end up in a pool of ice water.
Cathy is up on the tricycle for the yellow team and lasts a whole 5 seconds in the red zone while Bilenda managed a respectable 38 seconds before taking the plunge. That looked so uncomfortable riding the tricycles with knees sticking out all over and I know that seat had to hurt! Round two and Meaghan gets 28 seconds for the green team while yellow Darcy only gets 13 seconds. The yellow penguins win the game, or as host Rome says "pengins".
The winners get a VIP tour of the world's largest fish market where 4 million pounds of fish is sold daily. That's incredible! At that rate we won't have any fish left in a few years! They go to the tuna auction and get to sample the wares. The fisherman sliced the tuna right off the carcass, now that's fresh!
The losing team has to go to the rice paddies and plant rice all day. When they get their outfits, apparently there is a dress code in the rice paddies, Donnell says he looks like Bruce Lee's illegitimate half son. The rice paddies looked so pretty, from a distance. Right away everyone gets stuck in the mud. There was a Japanese man standing on the bank blowing a whistle at the team, for what, I don't know. I guess he was there to whistle at them if they weren't doing it right. He was blowing the whistle so much that Donnell asked if he was an NFL referee. This guy was certainly looking for the free labor, when Donnell feel down, the whistle blower tells him, get up, plant rice! Those Japanese don't mess around. It didn't look like they got much planted and what they did plant, they got yelled at for not getting the plants in a straight line.
For the elimination game, Mary says to put up Darcy & Donnell and Meaghan agrees. Later, Meaghan offers to go up against Darcy as long as she gets exemption in the next elimination. Good thinking Meaghan! Everyone agrees to her terms and the elimination is set. At the studio, Donnell decides he doesn't like the deal they made with Meaghan and earns her wrath. Look bud, you agreed to the deal don't be going back on it now.
The elimination game is "You look funny stuck on the wall". Yes, they jump onto a wall wearing velcro jump suits and try to land inside the form of a person. Meaghan hits hers perfectly while Darcy is close but no mocchi ball. After the jumps, the others, watching in the back, are wondering how they are going to get down. The girls have to be peeled off the wall. Meaghan continues to nail her forms and is declared the winner. They peel her off the wall and leave poor Darcy hanging on the wall. Finally host Rome looks up, like they all forgot about Darcy and has her peeled off and carried away by the Japanese Secret Service. Sayonara Darcy! Until next week....Majide!!!!!! Double D

Hell's Kitchen- The Winner Is.............

The last episode left us with a cliffhanger, not who would win Hell's Kitchen, but who would pick Jen and who would pick Matt, now that's a cliffhanger! Being the astute observer, I did notice that Jen was on Petrozza's and Matt was on Christina's team and I was right. Those two proved to be the wild cards of the episode and managed to steal air time from the others. I don't think Ben, Louross and Corey even uttered a single word on this last episode. Christina has to butter up Matt so that he'll be willingly to work, so she tells him that her inspiration for the risotto was due to him (as she tells the camera, not!). You could see him swell with pride, well, ok he popped with pride. He reminds of me Pumba from the Lion King, just give him some horns! Chef taste each one's menu and tells Christina to sex up her dishes, humm, he doesn't tell Petrozza that? Chef says that Christina's dishes are just plain Jane but could be great (maybe they need a little Victoria Secret). Petrozza's on the other hand has difficult dishes but could be fantastic if he can pull it off. I would love to try that souffle of his for dessert, yum! I like the decor in Christina's dining room, understated and elegant while Petrozza's reminded me of your grammy's dining room. During dinner service, it's the usual drama from Matt who keeps muttering under his breath, shut up! After the show, I'm sure he's headed back to the insane asylum, he's nuts! Jen started out and ended up one bitter person. She's just got the nastiest attitude and shocked Chef when she had the balls to ask him for a letter of recommendation. I think the only thing Chef can recommend is that Jen has a terrible sour atta- turd. Ya, you heard me, sour atta-turd! In the end, Hell's Kitchen didn't disappoint with all the drama and suspense when it came to the unveiling or in this case the opening of the door to reveal the winner of this season's Hell Kitchen.................Christina! She so deserved it and I'm sure Chef is thinking young enough to be molded by the great one!-Single D

The Next Food Network Star-Rachel Ray

Five down, five to go. This time it's a full on demo on how to whip something up in four minutes, this time before a live audience and with the help of an assistant, a brownie and not the chewy fudgy kind. I mean the little girl scout kind. Finally Kelsey has someone her size to help her. Each contestant is asked to cook something to appeal to the taste of their little brownie. Lisa is trying to convince her brownie that she likes horseradish cream sauce and flat iron steak. Poor kid, no wonder she had such a perplexed look on her face, what's horseradish? Lisa says you don't have to dummy down the food. I guess she's never been a mother. Yes you do have to dummy down the food or they won't eat it. Shane's girl doesn't like to eat anything and about the only thing she does likes is ham so Shane decides to make chicken cordon blue coated with puffy rice cereal, good choice. Aaron decides on meatball and broccoli pizza, good kid food, while Kelsey does a breakfast meatball sandwich with yogurt fruits and Adam decides on BBQ chicken pita. First up was Aaron on the Rachel Ray live audience show. The first thing Aaron says to his kid is that they need to wash their hands and turns his back to the cameras and audience, wrong! He immediately knew that was the wrong thing to do and quickly tried to recover by engaging his over zealous brownie to roll out the pizza dough. In the end he did pretty well and what kid doesn't like pizza? Kelsey makes the huge mistake of asking Rachel Ray to cook the only thing that needed cooking, the eggs, while Kelsey gave directions like she was the one hosting the show, hello whose show is it? You could tell Rachel was not happy cooking Kelsey's recipe. Shane was robotic like in his dealings with his brownie. You could so tell he's not into kids. Adam really did a great job hosting and handling the cooking with his kid showing high energy and making smooth transitions winning the judges over and their votes as the best hosting audition. I think the worst one was Lisa as she totally blanked out two minutes into it. Her mouth stopped working and Rachel had to carry on the show, you could almost hear the crickets in the audience and she had the look of Pinocchio caught in the headlights. Poor Lisa, you just wanted to scream snap out of it! The judges narrowed the field of elimination down to Shane, Kelsey and Lisa. Shane for his lack of personality, Kelsey for her too much personality and Lisa for her blank personality. I so totally think that Shane has no life experience to contribute at his tender age of what 21? Same with Kelsey except that her personality saves her life every time. You can tell Lisa has the most culinary experience out of everyone of the group, now if she can just pull it together in front of the cameras she would be great and someone I would watch for the recipes. My vote to go this week was Shane and I think the judges heard me as they send Shane back home for some more life real experiences and a little more culinary practice .-Single D

The Bachelorette Finale

As they say, all good things must come to an end and so it is with the Bachelorette. Who knew that crazy looking Jesse, with his pink shoe laces and paint splattered jacket, would be one of two standing? Didn't we know that Jason would be in the finale since he's the kind of guy we love, warm, sweet, kind? Both guys have to suffer the torturous scrutiny of DeAnna's family, sizing the guys up, both individually and a head to head comparison competition, can you say awkward? Of course we know who DeAnna's dad liked. At first he wasn't too thrilled with Jason with his divorce and built in family, but up against Jesse's free snowboarding lifestyle, Jason looked pretty good, you know steady job, family man, sincere, safe and secure (in other words, boring). DeAnna's gram was hysterically funny, her main criteria was which one is the richest? A woman after my own heart! Gotta love the gram! In the end, I think the sister-in-law said it best, when she said that a life with Jason will be fast forwarding your life by 5 years, where as with Jesse, you would be just beginning. Oh yeah, both guys passed the, may I ask for your daughter's hand in marriage, test too. Once back in the Bahama's Jeremy requested to talk with DeAnna again. I guess the guy just can't take no for an answer. Don't cha know when you go back you always look like the fool, and fool he did. It just seemed to me that he couldn't believe that she would pick those other two dorks over him, Mr. Perfect, Mr. I'm successful, Mr. I need to have my law notes on my walls in my apartment to show how great and smart I am. Well, she sent him packing. I did feel a moment of sympathy for him but he'll get someone else. I bet girls are already throwing their panties at him! I loved the presents that Jesse and Jason gave DeAnna on their last chance dates. I'm wondering if Jesse made that little scrapbook himself? He could always open up a scrap booking store once he leaves snowboarding and I thought Jason's bachelorette game was really inventive and original. He's very clever and thoughtful. After the dates, it seemed to me that DeAnna used the "L" word when talking about Jason but in the same breath described him as safe and secure. Do women really want safe and secure? No, they want excitement, fun, adventure, romance and bad boys! And I think Jesse is more that type except he's a good bad boy. I was having second thoughts when Jesse went to get the ring and then started throwing up. Not a good sign! Buying rings and puking don't go together. Looked like he was scared to death about the whole thing. In the end, both guys clean up pretty good, but I hated Jason's pencil legged suit which looked odd on him. When he stepped out of the limo first an "Oh no" escaped my lips as I knew he was headed for a beheading. It was really hard this time around, usually when it is the Bachelor picking, there is always one b#tch that you love to hate so the hope is on the other one. But with this season you just like both guys so much, couldn't they become polygamists? Good guys do get the girl in the end. Jason looked so happy when he stepped out of the limo and almost immediately drops to his knees to propose. Afterward, Jason lamented that he wished DeAnna hadn't made him drop to his knees, but I'm thinking she wanted to see if he would propose to her. I'm wondering why DeAnna wasn't too verbal with both guys. She didn't give the usual "you're a wonderful guy" speech, in fact she gave no speeches at all, she just let both guys do most of the talking. I would have loved to see her tell Jason that he was a wonderful person and really deserved the best girl, just not her. In the end, I think she shocked a lot of people by choosing against type by picking Jesse. I can see them together, but hey Jesse, what will you do when the snow melts? The After the Final Rose episode, DeAnna and Jesse looked very happy together, they were so smoochy, smoochy, get a room! yuck! Could it be that DeAnna is a clinging vine? She was all over poor Jesse, like fur on a bear. What was she trying to prove, that's she's in love? Was she really saying look what you missed Graham? Well, it looks like there's no turning back, the date is set for May 9, 2009! Is ABC planning to televise the nuptials to their loyal bachelor fans?-Single D About the only things I can add are: Jason could have shaved when he came to DeAnna's house. At least he brought flowers for everyone, nice touch. Loved the front porch on DeAnna's house, I'm all about a good front porch! I think her brother got DeAnna thinking about Jason when he asked her what the WOW factor is about him. I don't think Jason really had a WOW factor. Jesse got his hair cut for the family adventure, good thing since DeAnna's dad didn't seem to keen on a son-in-law with long hair. Dad obviously liked Jason the best and really put the screws to Jesse making him look like a deer caught in the headlights when he asked him what he would do when he was too old to snowboard. The next day it's meet the whole family day with both guys there at the same time. DeAnna calls her grandparents Yaya and Papu. I've heard grandparents called a lot of things but those two are new to me. Jesse arrives first still looking nervous. When the doorbell rings, I thought he would jump out of his skin. Camera pans to the front door and we see Jason standing out front jiggling around like he has to pee again. Wasn't he taught to "go" before you leave? Jesse finally relaxes a bit and shows the grandparents the funky handshakes. Grandma seems pretty down with it, you go Yaya! Later, DeAnna gets the heads up that Jeremy wants to talk to her. Did I call that or what? I'm sure most of you who have been watching also just knew it would be him. A teary eyed DeAnna tells him she doesn't feel it in her heart and doesn't want to lead him on and sends him on his way. The last dates in the Bahamas are one last chance at adventure and a lot of kissing. Jesse and Jason give the hand made presents, a scrap book from Jesse and a board game from Jason, how clever! I was wondering if ABC had a hand in those gifts. I really don't see Jesse sitting there making a scrap book. Jason on the other hand, would probably build a shrine to DeAnna in the backyard.
The big day arrives and it's more recap and more of Jason professing his love and Jesse professing his nerves. I'm sorry but if you get so nervous about something that it makes you sick, you probably shouldn't do it! Jason is first up so I'm thinking it ain't you bud. Was it me or did his feet look 5 sizes bigger in that suit? It looked like he was wearing dress clown shoes. DeAnna doesn't speak until Jason starts going down on one knee then she tells him to stop and that she is in love with someone else. Darn, he shaved and everything! So poor Jason rides away in the limo wondering what went wrong.
So it is Jesse who gets to snowboard into the sunset with DeAnna. I did like the way he proposed, asking her if she would spend forever with him. AWE!!!!! Double D
See Jason's interview after the final rose:

The Next Design Star-Suite Sara Evans

This challenge takes us to Opryland and the Gaylord Hotel, where the designers learn that they will design two suites in the design stylings of country songbird, Sara Evans. The designers are split into two teams, playground pickin's with team captains Trisha who picks Mikey V and Tracee and Team Jenn with Matt and Stephanie, is that a dream team or what? They have 28 hrs and $15,000, but first it's a visit to Sara's country estate. Here Sara explains that her style is Southern elegance, shabby chic, mismatchy pieces with color tones of creams and whites with that down home southern comfort. That's me, shabby chic Target. The two hotel suites are large with circular windows and a separate bedroom. Team Jenn seems really organized where Team Trisha seems scattered as Tracee goes into a hundred different directions when shopping. She drives me crazy. I really like the architectural pieces Matt picked out for the bedroom head board. Tracee on the other team picks out old painted doors for their headboards and says to Mikey V that she will take total claim for doing these because he's not so sure of the flaky paint, I don't mind a nose full of flaking lead paint! I was surprised that Trisha and Tracee worked so well together or is it that Trisha has alot of patience, bless her. Back to team Jenn, Jenn keeps saying that she can acid wash all the dark wood furniture. Ok that's great if you have all the time in the world. Are you going to acid wash everything? On the last day, Stephanie's main job was to find the sofa that would go with the other leather sofa in the room and finally brings one back only to find out that it is too large to go into the hotel. Matt asks Steph what's plan B? Like duh, there's no plan B, just move some chairs around the big leather couch (I was like why did they buy that leather couch, that's so not shabby chic!). I'm wondering why they left that important piece for the very last minute? This episode was pretty tame now that the little sh*t stirrer Michael has left the building. Part of this week's challenge was to give a TV presentation of their rooms, while the judges were watching their performance from their judge's desk on the monitors. What was around Cynthia's Rowley's neck? Looked like some kind of neck ring made from tin can rings, are you part of some ring toss game? Tracee was totally tongue tied and what was up with Mickey V? He looked so like some homie with his grey wife beaters tee shirt, yo man, wasss up man! Like Vern said, it was like you better like my shabby chic or I'll beat you. Vern declares Trisha as the best, gee who knew? Next we get to see Sara Evans judging their suites. I thought Team Jenn's suite looked very lackluster, where was the pizazz, where was the wow? The biggest question though was why wasn't there a sofa in the room? Steph kept deferring to her teammates which Vern called her out on it. That's right Steph stand up and take responsibility. I bought the wrong sofa, I was wrong, say it with me. Sara did like Matt's wood work in the bedroom but wished there were more colors on the walls. When Sara saw Team Trisha's suite, Sara let out the biggest surprise horseface, you would have thought that she won a trip to the moon. She obviously liked this room the best and declared this the be the winning room and I surprisingly had to agree. Team Jenn's room which I thought was going to be the winner was just a let down. I would have bet money that Team Trisha's team was going to fail miserably. In the end, it was all about the accessories, all about the color, all about the comfy couches and personal touches. Sara felt so much at home, she got in bed with her shoes and clothes on. I guess the judges couldn't overlook that huge mistake, but the couch thing was like the silent elephant in the room and Stephanie's show was cancelled.-Single D

I Survived a Japanese Game Show - The Claw!

Ben can't seem to get acclimated to Japan and ends up in hospital and eventually sent home. Meanwhile back at the house, mommason makes breakfast for the remaining contestants. No bacon and eggs here. She makes some green stuff with shaved fish on top and soup with more green stuff. Yum! No wonder Ben ended up in hospital!
Darcy returns to take Ben's place on the green team. That didn't break any hearts on the yellow team. The game this week is, become the giant claw! Remember those claw machines at the arcade that you pick out the stuffed animal? Same thing on a giant scale. One contestant from each team becomes the claw while three other team members control the movements. The yellow team is up first with Justin as the claw. He and his team mates do a great job maneuvering around and pick up 10 stuffed panda bears. The green team is watching backstage and Meaghan, as the claw, starts to freak out thinking she won't be able to beat Justin.
The green team takes their places and Meaghan gets the first panda pretty quick and that's it. She couldn't hold on to the pandas and kept giving bad directions to her team mates. The yellow team wins it and as a reward get a day at the spa. At the spa, the team gets treated to a warm sand bath. As one team member puts it, you normally see people doing this on the beach only someone acts like they are peeing on you. After the sand bath, the team goes into a room with a small pond and are told to put their feet in the pond. Small fish, called doctor fish start swarming over their feet and eating the dead skin. Are these baby piranhas or something? I'd be afraid I would come out missing a toe or two!
The yellow loser team has to work in a Pachinko parlor doing various jobs like serving drinks, advertising and cleaning the Pachinko balls. The game looks like a cross between a pin ball machine and a slot machine and are very loud. Those balls are a little smaller than a marble and Donnell gets the job of cleaning them. After getting busted for playing one of the machines, Meaghan is told to go clean the balls. After a fun filled day in a loud Panchinko parlor, the team has to decide who will play the elimination game. Now you would think Meaghan would be the natural choice but no, she and Mary decide it should be Olga and Donnell because they are loud. What?! Let's see, we have a girl who pretty much screwed up and lost the game for the team or two loud people who, as far as I can tell, have been pretty good. I would love to bang some heads together!
Donnell pleads his case and Meaghan & Mary decide they need some man power and keep Donnell. Olga just plain loses it yelling at Donnell that she has had his back and he better not send her up. Since Meaghan seems to be making all of the decisions why didn't she decide who is to go up against Olga instead of Donnell? Donnell needs to grow a set and stand up to her. I know he at least stood up long enough not to be put up against Olga but come on! Anyway, Donnell figures he's a hated man no matter who he picks and sends up Darcy. I felt bad for Darcy since she really didn't deserve to be chosen, heck, she didn't even play!
The game is to deliver packages into slots going against a giant fan while the other throws trash at them. Olga goes first with Darcy doing the throwing. Darcy does pretty good nailing Olga with pillows and blow up toys but Olga manages to get 5 packages delivered. Darcy is up and Olga can't hit the broad side of a barn. It started to look like Olga may have it since Darcy kept falling on her butt. It was not to be and Darcy wins leaving us to say sayonara to Olga as she is carried out by the Japanese men in black.
I'm not sure how much more of this I can watch. I really would like to know where these people come from because I will avoid that place like the plague! Then again, I am the one watching. I do think mommason should have her own show! Double D

Next Food Network Star-Bon Appetite

How hard is it to describe a dish that you are eating? Apparently very hard as Cat Cora gives the would be chef stars their next challenge, a basket with six ingredients after which they will have to give a TV presentation describing the dish. The twist, they will have to describe someone else's dish. This seems to have thrown the chefs for a loop. How hard is it to describe food? Aaron eats the food in total silence for at least 30 of the 90 seconds that he has to describe the dish. All you could hear was crunch, crunch, um, um, um. I thought Lisa did well but Jenn was terrible as she kept saying that she doesn't usually eat this kind of food and couldn't tell the linguine noodle from a udon noodle. Adam stuffed so much food in his mouth he could talk without spitting out chunks of chewed food, nice! Kelsey kept saying this food looks amazing. How do you taste amazing? Shane wins this challenge as the one being the most calm when giving his critique. The next challenge was for Bon Appetite, taking a recipe that usually takes hours to make and reinvent it to make it accessible to the viewing audience. The chefs need to take that receipe from grocery bag to cooking within 45 minutes. Beef Wellington, Coq Au Vin, and Turducken. What in the world is turducken? Just the name alone sounds horrifying. It turns out that turducken is turkey stuffed with chicken stuffed with duck. One word, why? Unfortunately, Jen and Lisa get the turducken, with Kelsey and Shane on Beef Wellington, and Adam and Aaron with the Coq Au Vin. First up are the two A's, and Adam wants to cook bone in chicken breast which Aaron thinks will take too long to cook. I'm wondering why Aaron just doesn't pipe up and say that? Turns out the chicken wasn't cooking and Adam had to cook the boneless breast, thanks to Aaron. Their dishes were just sloppy with the pasta noodles falling over the bowl which lead to Judge Susie asking if that was done on purpose. Next up were Lisa and Jenn furiously cooking until Jenn takes a bottle of apple cider and tries to pry the cap off by banging it against the stove shattering the bottle all over the acorn squash. Lisa doesn't skip a beat and tells her to throw all the squash away. Good girl, no glass shards in the food please! They had to 86 the squash and the gravy which led to the judges declaring their dish very dry. Kelsy and Shane had the easiest dish to prepare, Beef Wellington which was pronounced the winner by Bon Appetite. In the end, Jenn had to be eliminated. She was just not your TV material and it seemed that every episode there was a major crisis for her. So it's back to her family, they need you in their kitchen.-Single D

Hell's Kitchen-Prequel to the Finale

Well, it's down to the final two. Who would have thought Petrozza would have lasted this long. I thought Ramsay's perception of Petrozza's porkulant behavior in the kitchen would had him ousted long ago. When they see their images larger than life, Christina gushes that she looks angelic. Angelic? Do angels smoke? What's with chef's and smoking? Both Petrozza and Christina have to create their menus and designs for their restaurant. Here we see Christina diligently working on her menu and design while Petrozza heads for his bed for a nap like a slumbering bear. When they meet with the contractor, Petrozza keeps gushing about flowers, lots and lots of flowers. I almost expected him to start skipping. Christina says simple and elegant and definitely has a clear vision or so it seems. By the sound of it, both are total opposites. Chef tells them that they are flying to New York to see his London NY restaurant, once there he tells them that he is giving both of them a trip to Dubai as a gift. Christina's like yeah!, where's Dubai? Once inside London NY, it's no time to relax for they both have to cook their signature dish for the one last challenge. Christina's like, I've got this in the bag, 10 challenges won! Careful the bragging, you haven't won yet! Petrozza cooks his fillet Mignon while Christina cooks a NY strip steak. I would have cooked Chilean Sea Bass or something other than red meat so the two dishes could be different. Once the dishes are finished, Chef brings in all his executive chef from around the world, how many restaurants does he own? I think the challenge would have been better if the chefs didn't know who cooked what and didn't listen to what the other chefs were saying as well. Petrozza squeaks by with one vote and wins the challenge to have first pick of the returning chefs to help them cook in the finale. But before that, Chef introduces Whoopi Goldberg, who did nothing and said nothing. I didn't understand why she was there, because she loves the show and wants to show her support? Maybe she was hoping to taste their signature dishes and get some free food? Well back to the business of the challenge, Petrozza ends up with Bobby and Ben and Christina with Corey and Louross. The cliffhanger was who gets Matt and Jen, who by the way is looking bitter and mean. By the previews, it looks like Jen is on Petrozza's team with Matt on Christina's. Back in LA, Christina is in a snit because her walls are striped. I didn't want stripes she says, cut to the replay when she picks out the striped wall paper. Gotta love the rewind. Best choice to win it, Christina, but at this point it could be anyone's executive chef hat.-Single D

Shot at Love-Tila Tequila-Who Did She Chose This Time?

Finally, believe me the finale couldn't have come sooner. The last and final lame challenge was to get the red heart out of a block of ice and to help Kristi and Bo were two of their best buds. Immediately Kristi strips down to her short shorts and starts rubbing her ample booty on it. That girl's got alot of junk in the trunk (do they even say that any more?). If they have to use their body parts to heat up the ice we might be here all night, so Tila lets them have items that you would use to make margaritas with. Hey, just give me a margarita and forget the ice. Bo of course takes the shaker and makes quick time of getting the heart out and winning alone time with Tila. Their reward, Bo and company get to spend time with Tila in her lounge upstairs, but their private party is crashed in on by Kristi and company. Later each gets a special date with Tila, Bo's being a date in a room made to look like a sports bar. Is that romantic? There Bo and Tila play games and Bo tells Tila over wieners and fooze ball that he loves her. Meanwhile, Kristi gets the really romantic date with Tila in a quite room by the fireplace. Humm, let me guess who she likes better? Kristi tries to tell Tila that she's scared as she has never had a serious relationship with a woman before. Humm, is she hinting at something? Tila doesn't seem to hear between the lines and tells Kristi that she's crazy about her, something she didn't say to Bo. Later both Kristi and Bo are treated to some pampering before the big reveal. Now let's just cut to the chase. Tila sends Bo packing. Sorry Bo, I think she kept you around because of pity, you know that broken jaw thingy. A dejected Bo tears off the hospital band that he had kept on his wrist for luck and throws it away. In limo 2, Kristi is second guessing herself, like do I like women or men? A duh, now's not the time to come to a sexual preference crisis. Kristi is like hoping that Tila won't choose her, too late girl, you're goose is cooked! No easy exit for you. Didn't we all know that Tila would choose a girl this time around? As Kristi walks up to Tila and Tila says would you like my key, Kristi is like omg. Kristi it's just a fake key! She tells Tila, sorry but I'm screwed up, I don't know what I want, perfect timing, tell it on national TV. Why did she even go through the whole thing? I know, it's not like it's CNN, this is MTV, nothing is serious on MTV. So what's happen? Tila rejects Bo who says he truely loves her, wants Kristi to be her gal and Kristi, who doesn't know if she likes her, rejects Tila's offer of happiness and a world full of sleazy orgies and pool parties. A rejected Tila takes her walk of shame, teary eye and weeping, my heart's broken again! Well, you'll find no sympathy here, tell it to MTV, oh yeah, I think Tila 3 is already in the works?-Single D

The Bachelorette-The Exotics

We last left DeAnna crying her eyes out over getting rid of Graham and telling the camera that she was falling in love with him and second guessing herself. Well DeAnna, ya did the right thing, altho you could hardly tell when she's on her exotics with Jeremy. It looked like she was still mourning the loss of Graham when she was in the Grand Bahama Island with Jeremy. I tell ya, their date still looked awkward and tense as they were sitting in paradise, the only fun they had was jet skiing. At dinner tensions are high, as Mr. Shiny face Jeremy professes his love for her, was that why he was so serious? He's too serious in my book. Can he lighten up? If I have to be with somebody they better be good looking and hysterically funny (I wish!). Will someone give that guy a dusting down, his face is way too shiny. They don't need candlelight with his glow! By the way, loved, loved, loved her boy shorts bathing suit. The next day DeAnna meets up with Jason and right off the bat, it looked like they just click immediately, no tense silent moments, no sweaty faces, no serious issues, just plain fun. I thought the kayaking looked hysterical, they reminded me of some Amazing Race teams. I think if they get married they should try out for that. Wasn't that floating dock cool? During lunch it seemed that DeAnna had a twinkle in her eye or was that just brie? Could she be falling for Jason? The next date is with Jesse where they try their horseback riding skills in the water. Do horses know how to swim? The production assistants must have tranquilized those horses for the kissing scene cause on the outtakes, it looked like those horses were just too frisky to be calm for a kiss between them. When DeAnna presents Jesse with the fantasy suite card from Chris, Jesse says, I don't know if I can, till I meet your dad. DeAnna's like are you for real? Just kidding! Calm down girl! I couldn't tell at the Rose Ceremony who she would eliminate, since there is no clear cut person that stands out. Jeremy is too ridged and stiff, Jason comes with a built in family, and Jesse is more of a free spirit. In the end, I'm sure she shocked the viewing fans by eliminating Jeremy, the sure thing, the ticket to the mansion, the would be successful lawyer's wife, say goodbye to Manolo Blahniks, champagne caviar and millionaire dreams. Jeremy's exit did tug at the heart a little (for one split second), who can stand rejection? He tells the limo driver to stop and I thought for a he was going to jump the fence and go back to DeAnna just like in the movies, but that was not the case. I guess paradise with Jeremy didn't seduce DeAnna into falling for him as she tells him on the next segment that after she spent the night with Jason and Jesse, she knew he was not the one. Ouch! Guess they are better lovers that him! The second segment, the Men Tell All, just showed a bitter Jeremy still licking his wounds from rejection and totally solidified my belief that Graham was not that into her. As they showed the clip of Graham departing in the limo, and as he said to the camera that he wanted to fall in love.....which left me thinking the second part of that sentence would have been but it wasn't with DeAnna. Boo on Graham for copping out of answering questions and heaven help the poor woman that will have to put up with that. And as for Jeremy, he's still carrying the torch, I think for him it was all about the winning. I wanted to hear from Sean, but they didn't give him any air time. My choice for DeAnna next week, Jesse, free spirit and all. -Single D-click link below for more pics of the bachelorette!! http://www.fansofrealitytv.com/forums/bachelorette-spoilers-speculation/74511-bachelorette-4-screencaps-only-20.html

Grand Bahama island, sun, sand and three guys. Jeremy's date was a day at the beach. Boring stuff really. Then he was sweating and giggling at dinner and all they showed of the so called fantasy suite was the bed. I must have missed the rest of the suite. Jason's date was fun to watch. Made me want to be there. Are you paying attention oh husband of mine? It was worth a shot. Jason and DeAnna start out on a Jeep adventure they even end up dressed alike, how sickening cute is that? I loved their picnic place. Looked like a nature wetlands preserve. At dinner, Jason gives her a sand dollar necklace and professes his love for her. OK, he may be needy but he's romantic. I'm still wondering what went wrong with his marriage.

Jesse and DeAnna go for a beach horseback ride and picnic. I still hope my husband is taking notes. At dinner, Jesse is trying to figure out life after snowboarding. Jesse, like his two predecessors, jumps at the suite. Looking at the view, it so made me want to be there. I love my backyard paradise but my pool doesn't have waves, unless someone does a cannonball!

At the rose ceremony, we get a shocker as DeAnna sends Jeremy packing. I thought sure it would be Jeremy and Jason in the final two. But wait! Next week it looks like someone comes back. I'm so sure it's Jeremy since they showed the back side of the man and he was too neatly dressed for it to be Graham! Ah suspense thy name is Bachelorette! Double D

Design Star-What Country Am I?

The designers are told to pack a bag and take their passports. Everyone is so excited. Wait a minute, pack a bag and take your passports, something smells fishy in Barcelona. I would have never fallen for that. Clive meets them on the tarmac of some small airport where he pops out of the private jet that looks more like a prop than plane. Each one of the designer open their paint can with the name of various countries, Italy, Thailand, and Mexico. Because Mike won he gets to pick any place in the world, so he picks Spain, because he's been there like a million times. Ok show of hands, how many thought they really weren't going anywhere? Me! The airplane hanger doors open to their individual room challenge which is to create a space of their chosen country. Well, lucky for Michael to chose a country where he's been to a million times! Tracee (Italy) says that her idea is so incredible and that she's going to win this challenge which translates into I'm a loser! Any time you tell the camera that you're going to win is a sign that you're going home. During the entire process Michael with his nose in the air and his strutting of patronizing fakeness keeps telling Tracee how much he loves her design all the while putting his finger down his throat in a mock attempt to puke, nice! I love it when Clive comes to visit the set and makes faces at the designers work. What, don't you think it's great? Michael keeps saying that his design is furr-roach, the term I thought was coined by our little Christian on Project Runway. Maybe furr-roach is the new hot design word for the day? Each of the individual rooms disappointed me. I wanted somberos, I wanted Thai elephants, I wanted Venetian masks, ok maybe not the somberos. There was not a speck of ethnicity in any of the rooms! They just looked like generic rooms-which country are we in?
Back at the TV studio, there in the green room is cute and tiny Lisa LaPorter (Clive's co-star) and some bald guy? Whose he? They were there to give a pep talk about how to keep on working for their dreams, blah blah blah. They really could have left that part out. I was really disappointed in the green room. I have always envisioned this room being really large, with lots of tables with heaping piles of food and drink and lots of comfy couches. Where was the food? I think there was one small table with a couple of pieces of fruit, hey what gives? Where's the hot food? Where's the buffett?
Judging time: Jennifer and Tracee both had Italy-which I loved Jenn's room with her yellow and blue, but I thought the blue should have been a more deeper blue not the washed out stuff she had. I thought her free hand painting on the walls were incredible, ok I guess she does have some talent. Tracee tried to do a gondola Venice bed with red walls and a free hand painted chandelier which didn't quite make it. I thought the bed looked sloppy, she should try to steer clear of carpentry work, or in this case foam board work. I thought the worse design of the lot was Matt who showed so much promise in the beginning. He had the country of Thailand and tried to create an abstract Buddhist temple which looked more like the monolith that was on Space Odyssey 2000, you know the one that the monkeys were worshipping? It was absurd and didn't look like Thailand at all. Mikey V's room looked more Chinese than Thai and as Vern said, more like Chinese takeout. Gotta love the Vern! Jenn wins the challenge with over confident prancer Michael getting axed and crying for his mommie. I want my mommie! I want my mommie! Well, that's what happens when you bad mouth others, karma's a bitch!-Single D

Wipeout - Yes it is!

A group of people have to negotiate an obstacle course that is pretty much impossible. I did miss the first five minutes so maybe someone came out to demonstrate, but I didn't see anyone complete the course. It's basically a lot of people bouncing off large rubber objects and falling into a giant mud puddle or getting punched off a beam into a giant mud puddle and swinging on a rope and falling into a lake (thought I was going to say mud puddle didn't you). I hope ABC got those people to sign liability waivers!
The next round is standing on a pedestal while a giant arm swings around and they have to jump over the arm or miss and fall into the water. About the only thing entertaining about this show was the commentators, oh and there was the police academy guy who wore his underwear outside of his clothes, yellow underwear and clothes to boot, eeew! I don't know where these people came from but they need to go back! I lasted about 15 minutes and got bored even with the funny bits from the commentators. Double D

I Survived a Japanese Game Show - Splat!

Having seen a few of the Japanese game shows, I just had to see this one. A group of ten people think they are going on a "traditional" reality show. What is traditional in the world of reality? You can get engaged, be stranded on an island, dance, sing, cook your way to the top or design yourself silly. Where is the traditional part? Anyway, everyone says they are there to kick butt and win money but they don't know at what.
The group is sent to Tokyo and shown where they will be living. A nice house in the 'burbs. One emerging diva doesn't like the beds on the floor while the guys go crazy over the remote controlled toilet. That's right guys, no reason to leave that toilet seat up! Next enters the mommason and, as she says, she is not their momma! She jumps on them right away to take off their shoes while in the house and to go to bed all in a tone that says she means business.
The next morning everyone gets up early so they can go on a tour of Tokyo, or so they think. They end up on a sound stage where they are told they will be watching a, you guessed it, a Japanese game show. The stage is pitch black and when the lights come up, the group is on the stage facing a rowdy Japanese audience and Romu, the host, who is a total nut. At least Romu speaks English and tells the group what they are going to do.
The group is split into two teams, the yellow penguin team and the green monkey team. They are dressed in business suits and given helmets with a tray on top. One person from each team has to eat mocchi balls (?) out of the trays while the tray wearer runs on a treadmill. Yep, it's a Japanese game show all right. When the one with the tray falls, they end up in a large bin of flour. Who ever eats the most mocchi balls wins. Most contestants did well with the treadmill but Darcy from the yellow team just can't figure out the treadmill and ends up in the flour bin before her player can eat her balls ;) Sorry, I couldn't help myself. The green team ends up with 10 mocchi balls and the yellow team starts to catch up with Romu saying in Japanese "look at his chubby face work!" That's the problem with this, Romu could be saying anything about you and you won't know it, just keep smiling and nodding.
The green monkey team wins and gets a real tour of Tokyo in a helicopter and then in a limo. They get treated like royalty while the yellow team finds out they have to be rickshaw drivers for two hours. At least they have a day to rest before carrying out their punishment.
The next day, mommason takes great pleasure in waking up the yellow team calling them "the losers" and to put on traditional rickshaw driver's uniforms. Our diva, Cathy, makes everyone wait while she takes her time getting ready. They go through their two hour shift pulling local citizens, most of whom do not speak English, around in the rickshaws. At the end, they have to decide on two people to play a game to decide who goes home. Darcy volunteers for one spot since she messed up on the mocchi ball challenge. Darcy tried to get Cathy sent up and everyone seemed to go along with it until Cathy channeled her inner politician and got the group to nominate Bilenda. Poor Bilenda, she is such a team player and so nice, why they listened to Cathy, I don't know. Weak as water the lot of them!
Darcy and Bilenda are dressed up as bugs to play bugs splat on windshield. Sounds lovely. The girls have to jump on to a trampoline and land on a "windshield" and leave their marker for points. Oh yeah, they also leave a green "splat" mark. Gross! It did look rather painful. Neither girl wants to go home and they tie. They go into overtime and Bilenda wins sending Darcy home. Darcy gets carried out of the studio on the shoulders of what looked like the Japanese CIA, all men dressed in dark business suits. Those Japanese sure are stylish!
I'm not too sure about this show. I guess I'll have to watch one more time to see happens! Double D

Hell's Kitchen-Final Two

To celebrate the final three Chef Ramsay will cook the chefs one of his signature dishes but not before their families come in to join them. Petrozza is like a 7 year old seeing his dad and girlfriend. Girlfriend? I thought he would be married with 10 kids! Everyone is seated in the restaurant while Chef whips up his dish. Both Corey and Petrozza are too engrossed with their families to take notice what is being served while spunky Christina has the smarts to say that she better know what's in this dish because he just might ask them to cook it. Her mother says that there's cream in it and Christina says there's also a white bean puree. After lunch, Chef does ask each one of them to cook the dish. That Christina is pretty smart and just might win this whole thing. I thought that was a good challenge had not that the chefs got to taste it again. Hey that's cheating! I think he should have let the chefs cook from memory and not by tasting it again, that would have been a real challenge. Corey says that the sauce is sweet and there must be some raspberry framboise in it which was correct. Petrozza and Christina chose the right kind of meat, venison, but Corey choses buffalo. Petrozza leaves off the puree and Christina gets the sauce wrong, shoulda listened to mom, but Christina wins it again and gets treated to a Hollywood double decker bus tour and lunch with her parents and Chef. Meanwhile, Petrozza and Corey get the ice crushing detail in the kitchen. Dinner service this time will feature how strong each one of them will be expediting food. Corey can't yell at the kitchen staff nor does she have a commanding presence. She was one giggle away from laughing hysterically. Petrozza manages to get into and Christina tries to channel Ramsay. I would have yelled and screamed and swear up and down just like Ramsay because that's what he wants. Be the Ramsay, be the Ramsay. Chef sets up the usual sabotage by leaving off certain ingredients to see if they will be caught before they leave the kitchen. The only one to catch it was Christina. I tell ya, that girl's got a lot on the ball. At the end of dinner service, Chef has the awful dilemma of getting rid of someone. This time it's really difficult because there is no one to hate, how awful is that! Send back Jen! They each have something different to offer, but it is Corey that is sent home with Christina whispering in her ear that she'll be on her team. What does that mean, if she wins will she hire Corey for the restaurant? I hope so, they both said that they work well together, however, if Christina sees what Corey has said about her, like= her voice is so high pitch it gets on my nerves she might think twice. Does Petrozza have a chance? Petrozza is always the bridesmaid never the bride. Can his runner up status in challenges outbeat Christina's moments of brillance? Which one will Chef chose? Average and steady or brilliant and learning? I'm thinking brilliant and learning-Christina-Single D

The Bachelorette-Home Dates

Is it the hometown dates already? First up is a trip to Breckenridge, Colorado to visit Jesse and his parents. I've been to Breckenridge and it is really cute, one main street with views of the snow covered mountains, breathtaking! Jesse shows DeAnna what he's like in his element. He's fantastic on the snow. After giving DeAnna a lesson in snow boarding he takes her to his modest home showing her his art wall of snow boards. Jesse for all his appearance is really neat, labeling his cupboards, plates, cups, saucers, who knew, Martha would be proud! Typical guy, having to label where to put his dishes, I just know DeAnna wanted to break out in peels of laughter. His parents show up with Dad sporting a cap with that fake long hair. I was like, omg, he's got long hair! Thank goodness it was just one of those caps, or I'd have to say, hillbilly, then again those caps scream hillbilly. Jesse is the only child and it's obvious he's loved very much. I really like his parents. Hey, if Jesse and DeAnna get married, they could be best friends with Ryan and previous bachelorette, Trista in Vail. Finally the long awaited kiss DeAnna had been waiting for as Jesse plants one on her in the sleigh ride through the snow. Wonder if it was worth the wait? Jesse is beginning to grow on me even if he reminds me of Sean Penn in his "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" days, but look how good he turned out. Next it's onto Dallas where Jeremy picks up DeAnna on his big bike, gotta love a hog between the legs. Jeremy takes DeAnna to his condo which is meticulously decorated. Jeremy brings out pictures of his mother and his journals he wrote when she was dying. Ok, even if I don't care for Jeremy, I did for a moment feel myself well up, just for about 1/2 a second. Next the brothers show up to give the third degree to DeAnna. One word DeAnna, run! Hey what's up with the crib notes of the bar exam on the walls as art, looks like he needs to display how wonderfully smart he is. The third hometown date is to Seattle to see Jason and meet his son, Ty. When DeAnna meets Jason at the Space Needle she tells Jason she doesn't know what it is. Come on-who doesn't know that landmark? Next it's on to Jason meeting up with his son whom he hasn't seen since he's been on the show. It's a very touching scene as DeAnna says it was such a movie perfect moment. DeAnna tells Ty that she brought him a present, a golf ball, obvious she's never been around small children! Jason and son have a very large extended family and they welcome her with a traditional Greek dinner. I thought that was very thoughtful and looks like she would fit right in. The last date is to North Carolina and Graham's home town. Graham meets DeAnna at his old school where his path to pro basketball was formed. You can so tell that DeAnna is totally smitten with him, she can't keep her hands off him. Graham takes her to his parents lovely house. His parents seemed nice enough but they didn't make food or anything, what's up with that. For me it's all about breaking bread together, nothing says welcome to the family like pot roast. Once alone, Graham calms up again and it looked like he wanted to tell DeAnna something, but snaps his mouth shut. Come on, what's up with this guy? Is he gay or something? He definitely is afraid to commit to anything, no wonder he's not had a girlfriend. DeAnna is put off and tries to coax it out of him but he can't open up and talk to her. DeAnna, one word of advice, lose him! DeAnna leaves with the look of frustration on her face. Back at the mansion and the rose ceremony, DeAnna looks still pissed at what transpired between her and Graham. I know she's torn with the choice of should she keep him and hope that he'll come around and get rid of someone whose committed to her. When she came out, she did not give her customary speech, not a happy camper, she went straight for the jugular and axed Graham. What was he smiling about, like he was happy to be going? He's a jerk. It was obvious DeAnna was torn in getting rid of him and once again her heart was broken. I bet if Graham would have opened up to her, he would have been the last man standing because you could so tell that she likes him the best. Graham writes her a note and tells her to read it in private, maybe he tells DeAnna his deep dark secret, like he's secretly a psycho or something. I think if he would have told her that he was falling in love with her on the way to the limo, she would have done a whoa, ok, ABC hello, I made a mistake, I meant to say Jason not Graham! Either way she did the right thing to cut him loose. Who wants a guy like that? He would take years of therapy to unravel. And besides Graham's name doesn't fit in with the 3 J's. At the end, DeAnna is afraid that maybe she won't fall in love (because she was in love with Graham), could a Brad ending be in store for the Bachelorette?-Single D http://primetime.tv.yahoo.com/ funny bachelorette clip!
Since I'm behind (again) this will be the cliff note version for me. This was hometown date episode and we start with Jesse in Colorado. The parents love DeAnna and after getting advise from dear old dad, Jesse finally lets loose and kisses DeAnna. I too, thought the labeling of the cabinets was a little weird. I've heard about those snowboarders, maybe after a little recreation he has to have his cabinets labeled!
Next is Dallas and Jeremy. That motorcycle looked so uncomfortable with them all hunched over. It was more like a crotch rocket than a cruise bike. You could so tell DeAnna didn't like his house except for the upstairs balcony looking over down town Dallas. Tear jerker moment with the pictures and journal. For a minute I really thought Jeremy had made that journal like yesterday to get sympathy from DeAnna. I'm such a cynic! Jeremys brothers let DeAnna know that they are there for him not her but they really like her.
Jason and Ty in Seattle are next. Did Jason morph into the Easter bunny? He was hopping around like he had to pee when DeAnna came into view! They took the Space Needle tour, how can you not know what the Space Needle is? She finally meets Ty and give him a golf ball. Golf ball? What's up with that? Maybe it's an inside joke. After dinner with the family, everyone dances and goes outside to play leap frog. OK, it was cute, but does anyone really do that? The family loves DeAnna.
She saves what she thinks is the best for last, Graham in N. Carolina. They have fun playing basketball at Graham's high school then it's off to meet the parents. Graham is obviously close with his parents, and himself, but stayed aloof with DeAnna. No dinner here, strange. Either they are cheap or they don't want to get attached to DeAnna. You know, if we feed her she might keep coming back! Mom doesn't waste any time by asking DeAnna if she can really find someone that will last in such a short time. Funny that we don't get to hear her answer, ummm. DeAnna's light bulb is finally going off that maybe Graham isn't ready for a serious relationship. The parents seem to like DeAnna.
At the rose ceremony, DeAnna sends Graham home telling him he is the one person she was falling in love with. Are you kidding me?! She is all about opening up and being honest, all that Graham isn't and she was falling for him? Goes to show that opposites do attract. If she is so in love with this guy why send him home? I guess there is that whole don't want to get my heart broken thing. So now she has to chose from three other guys and all she will be thinking about will be Graham. Not so fair for the other guys. Double D
